Henry Clay Rayburn/Rayborn ,son of James Hasten Rayburn, was born Feb 17, 1894, probably in Missouri. His father was a brother of my great grandfather, Francis Mervin Rayborn. His grandparents moved to Worsham Mo,( which later became Rayborn, Mo then in 1956 became part of Manes - in Wright County Mo) around 1860 from McMinn Co TN. His mother was Emma Smith. James Hasten Rayborn married 4 times and had 9 children.
This Henry Clay Rayborn is obviously not the same one in message 17, posted by Nancy Rayburn. Henry Clay was a well-known statesman of that era who ran for U. S.president and was from KY. Hence the popularity of the name Henry Clay.
