Carol, I do not as yet have tangible documentation, so with a grain of salt in hand, this is what I have:
John Raborn was born 1730 in NC and died ? in Surrey Co., NC. He married Mary Parrish (b. about 1730 in Surrey Co., NC) in NC and she died in Surrey Co.
Their children were: 1) John Rabourne Jr., 1755, Surrey Co. married Elizabeth Shanklin 2)Mary Rabourne b. May 15, 1757, Surrey Co. Married Elija Glaspy 3) Thomas Rabourne b. 1760 Surrey Co. 4) Sarah Rabourne b. 1762 5) Silvanus Rabourne b. 1763 Surrey Co. 6) Henry Rabourne b. 1765 7) Robert Rabourne b. 1765
I believe Sylvanus is on the 1790 census in the Salisbury District, Surrey Co., NC .
I did not know about Mary and Elija's children. Is Gillespie the correct spelling of Glaspy, or is it like Rayborn and it's variations?
Sorry I don't have documentation but perhaps this will provide new avenues to search. Nancy
