Wassail Wanda! I wasn't trying to "impose my beleifs" on anyone. Most people that research their geneology are curious about their background, so therefore I rationalized that it was appropiate to talk about the pre-Christian roots of the Rayborn lineage. I never said "hey, convert to my religion!", it was more like "hey, did you know that our ancestors beleived "a" before there was "b"?". If I offended you then it is based on your own personal prejudices/preconceived notions and is of no fault of my own. I think that any aspect of English/Scottish (since Rayborne is found in England and Rae Burn is found in Scottland, as one person pointed out before) history, whether it is religion (anywhere from the Elder Troth, to Catholicism, all the way to the Angelican Church), clothing, language (Old English, Old Scotts, Middle English, to Modern English), food, or anything that may of been relevent to our Ancestors can and should be discussed in a Geneology Forumn. It doesn't hurt to know what our Ancestors beleived, what they ate, what they wore, what languages they spoke, as well as individual stories attached to individual folks. There is more to our Ancestors that mere superficial words on a computer screen. Gee, I think that tracing your Geneology should be a sight seeing adventure, not merely collecting a bunch of names like paper stamps. For Kinfolk, Mike Rayborn
