Have been told grandmother was of some Indian Heritage. A "Charlotte" was listed in 1880 Census of Lincoln County, Mississippi as being 12 years of age. Would like info on her family and where they were from. She married a John Branning, my grandfather, who was killed in a sawmill accident in 1897 in Bogue Chitto, MS. Had 5 children at the time. Remarried a Leander Deere. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
