Hez and Martha married in Livingston Parish, LA, 9 Feb 1887. No known children. According to 1870 Census, he was born 1867 to Henry and Lucinda Raborn. Martha was born about 1863, place unknown. Martha was killed by a falling tree some time between 1892 and 1905, probably in Livingston Parish.
Martha's brother, Calvin Green Carver, born in MS in 1850. They were members of the historic Macedonia Baptist Church north of Holden, LA. Calvin's father-in-law, G. W. Westmoreland, donated the property for this church. Martha is said to be buried at the church; however, there is no known cemetery at this location. Martha's parents were Robert Wm. and Sarah Ann Russell Carver.
