In the 1860 Jasper Co., MS census, a Susan RABORN age 60 b. TN was living with James M. SNELL.
I suspect she was his mother. In the 1850 Jasper Co., MS census she was Susan Snell 55 (1795) NC. In the 1870 Sabine Par., LA census she was Susannah Snell age 73 1797) b. SC. Her son James M. (some say Morris) Snell in the 1880 LA census said both his parents were born in TN, but Susan/Susannah herself never seemed to tell the census taker she was born in TN.
I noticed that some of the messages here spoke of their people also living in Sabine Par., LA. Can anyone help me?
Was Susannah's maiden name Raborn or Rayborn?
