Jen,
There were at least three Joseph Rayborns of Roane Co., TN, and both were born about the same time. The first pair are Joseph Sr. & Jr. Joseph Sr. md. Polly Marney, and Jr. married Caroline Blackbourn. Joseph Sr. was a son of Thomas & Sarah, who came from Surry Co., NC, to Roane. The other Joseph was a son of Jesse (son of Thomas & Sarah), who was born in 1830s (like the Joseph Jr above). This latter Joseph is my ancestor. Many of Jesse's line moved into IL. Joseph Sr.'s line did not come to IL for the most part.
I would be interested in a transcription of the document you mention.
