Seeking any information on Jane RECTOR, born ca. 1785 in Rowan County, NC. Possible her father was Jesse/Jessey RECTOR. Jane married John M. JONES, Sr., unknown location or date. One of their children was John M. JONES; born ca. 1827 in VA.
John M. JONES, Sr. was a soldier in the War of 1812 and possibly served in Capt. Alexander McEwen's Company, 16th Infantry. His father was James JONES, a soldier in the Continental Forces of the American Revolution.
Jane was living with her son and his family in 1850 Monroe Co., VA
