Yes, who is this James Rector?? According to the 1880 cens., this was the first marriage for him & Poley (as she is listed). But the names of his children - Logan & Artema-show that there must be some connection to the Samuel & Rutha family.
Another Rector mystery.
Also, was Polly a sister to Anderson Welles, also shown on the 1880 cens. in Fentress Co., Tn.?
