A possibility but not proved. Your Mary E. might belong to the family of Elihu Franklin & Malinda Rector as shown on the 1870 cens. of Alexander Co., Nc.

John & Mary Sullivan are on the 1900 cens. in Watauga Co., NC with children: Minnie, Grome, Norah, Cora.
Cora b. 1896 married #1 to Barnett Harmon. Ch: Thomas Finley
#2 to John Roe Green.

Some of these North & South Carolina people are hard to trace. Any other clues or hints??

Can anyone else verify?

Ann
