Hello: I have "completed" a rough draft of my genealogy and it started in Sweden with Dorota Lektor in the 1600's. The Lektors traveled from Sweden to Bohemia (once Germany, now Czech Republic) to the USA through Baltimore, Md. "We" are now across the USA and Canada. The name has changed twice but its meaning has remained the same since Sweden. No other spellngs were identified, although a solid lineage was only traced back to the 1740's. I'm looking for a lineage that covers Rektor or Lektor in or around Eastern Bohemia, the Czech Republc, Southern Germany or possibly back to Sweden. I would greatly appreciate any leads back to Europe that include the name Rektor or Lektor. Our name is still fairly unique and it was enjoyable tracing it back. Some information had the Rektors traveling to Poland and Russia during WWI and II. The name does not break off from the lineage Richter - completely separate. Thank you, Bryan Notify Administrator about this message?
