I am researching my husbands family line of Rectors. Ggrandfather William P. Rector b. unknown father and mother unknown. William's siblings were: Mark,Gregg,Lewis,David (Dave),Clyde, Sterling P. May be others, don't know. According to 1910 census for Shannon,Co. Mo. his son Charles states that his father was b. in Tx.? but his widowed wife states Mo. William m. Sarah Cowin of Ind. Their children were: Charles b. May 5,1886, Sterling P. May 29,1889, David, William (Willie), Addie, Dellie, Mandy. Charles m. Rebecca Brooks their children were: Mary, William Lewis, George, Jim, John, Dave, Alta, Rosie and Columbus Charles (my husbands father) My husbands name is James Andrew Rector. Would like to know if anyone knows anything about this group of Rectors. Where did they come from and who were Williams parents. Alot of the names I have seen in other inquiries. There is an old communitie close to Ink and Salem Mo. that used to be called Rector. It was named after the people who settled in there. But from where and were they related to my Rector's? Am up against a brick wall.
Help.
