Hello.
We have family of William C. Redman/Redmond b. ca 1803, in Tennessee, m. 24 Oct 1829 to Mary Mariah Johnson, b. ca 1811. 11 children in LaRue County, KY
1. Felix W. b. ca 1830 Ky m. a Mary Jane Crady
2. Elizabeth Ellen Redmon b. ca 1833, m. James Willis Metcalf this is my husband's line, this family lived first in LaRue and Nelson Counties, then after her death James Willis Metcalf d. in Meade County, KY near present day Ft. Knox.Elizabeth Ellen is buried in New Haven, Nelson Co., KY
3. Mary Ann b. ca 1834, m. John M. Metcalf
4. Cordelia or Delila b. ca 1836, m. John W. Slack
5. Mary M. Redman b. ca 1838, m. Lawson Barnett
6. James Robert. Redman b. ca 1840 m. Mayme Hayes
7. George Thomas. Redman b. ca 1843, served in Civil War, moved to Iowa
8. Nancy L. Redman b. ca 1845, m. Columbus Crady
9. Liza M. b. 1847
10. Delphinia b. ca 1852, m. Joseph Devers
11. Wm. C. Redman b. ca 1854 moved to Iowa

This family lived in LaRue County, KY 1850 census states Wm. C. Redmond [sic]was born in Tennessee. 1870 Census, states he was b. in Tennessee. If you know anything more about him, I would appreciate sharing with you. I have just begun to work on this family, and would like to find others who may also be working to learn more.

The spelling of the name changes from document to document, Redman, Redmon, Redmond and in correspondence about them.
