Nicole, I appreciate all the time and work you went to for this reply to me. I'm still puzzled, am just beginning to document this particular family and I will continue over the next few months when time is available. I need to get into the LaRue Co. court records to see if I can find our William C. Redman/Redmond/Redmon. You see, I don't think he belongs to the family you have described, he says in both the 1850 and 1870 LaRue Co. censuses that he was b. in Tennessee, not KY. But we have Redmonds coming over to Meade County too, that your listing may describe the ancestors for. The names do seem to be similar though, don't they. I find this intriguing. Maybe our Wm. C. was born on some sort of trip? Your family (which I remember you say you are not related to) may be the one spoken of as being neighbors to Abraham Lincoln's family. I will keep this forum appraised to what I may find. thank you for all your hard work. If not your family, how do you know so much about them?-neighbors to your own family? Ann Sipes, atsgene2002@yahoo.com Please write to me off the forum too. I am active in ATHS, we have a library in Elizabethtown, Hardin Co., History Museum and publish a quarterly. We are interested in Abe Lincoln's friends and neighbors right now. Notify Administrator about this message?
