Your second letter has really got me to thinking. It looks like our William could very well be the son of William Redman and his wife, Nancy. Too many similarities of names in the family. I will be looking into Nelson County records ASAP. I don't even have any abstracts at home, but I will be getting into the records at Bardstown soon. Thank you.

Our Elizabeth Ellen Redman who married James Willis Metcalf is buried at St. Catherine's in New Haven. Her widower, James Willis is buried at Fort Knox in the original St. patrick's cemetery. He lived his last years with his daughter, Mary Lou Yates, who is my husband's great grandmother on his mother's mother's side.
