Ann, I don't know if you have had time to go to Bardstown looking for William redmon deeds or not, but here is a list of the ones I looked up. Book 17 page 11: April 1826 the same year Wm. married second wife, Nancy Spaulding) is the most informative of the deeds. In this deed he wills his property on Rolling Fork to waters of "Cain" Run to his 4 sons, Thomas, William, John & George. The deed is signed by William and Ann(her mark) and William Redmon. He did not put the "d" on his signature, but the person who wrote the deed did. Book 21 page 260: Feb. 1837 George Redmon of Perry County, Indiana deeded his share to his brother William. I don't know the book for this one: Mar, 1838 There is a deed from Wm. C. Redmon and his wife, Mariah to William Redmon. This deed mentions brothers Thomas, John and george so there is no doubt about the Wm in the first deed being our Wm. C. Old Wm and his first wife Betsy Clark were married by a Baptist minister named J. Dodge, so I don't think necessarily that old Wm was Catholic, but Mary Mariah Johnson the wife of his son Wm. C. certainly was. I have quite a bit of info on this family, as does Jan Anderson (hello Jan) and I have some pictures of children of Wm C. I am direct descendant of James Robert, son of Wm. C. Excited to find another cousin. I love ATHS, by the way. Nancy w Notify Administrator about this message?
