George Redmon, named in Deed of Gift of Father, William Redmon in Nelson County, KY in 1826. In 1837 he and his wife, Eliza, sold their part of the deed of gift and had moved to Perry County, IN. This was stated in the deed of sale in Nelson County, KY.

In 1850 Census for Perry County, IN, George Redmond, b. ca 1813 in Kentucky and wife Eliza Ann, aged 30 are listed with four children:
Francis M., aged 12, b. Indiana
James W., aged 10 b. IN
Sarah Ann, aged 7, b. In
John, 4 months, b. IN

Would like to find descendants, cannot find the family after 1850. They lived next door to a John Redmond and wife, Louisianna, with three children: David, Mary, and Sally and a Lucinda Cooper (spelling questionable ), aged 39 , b. KY with child, Sarah Ann.

Know that George mentioned first was brother of Thomas, William C. and John L. Redmon who stayed in Kentucky. Who was John Redmon, whose wife was named Louisianna and lived next door. Was he a cousin?

The various spellings are used in the Kentucky deeds for the same men- it can be found as "Redman", "Redmon", or "Redmond" within the same document being recorded.

Please respond to this forum, but also to me directly if you wish. I would like to see the response on this forum. We can all help each other in this way.

The name of Louisiana Redmon is ringing to me, but I cannot place it this minute. This may be a clue to tie up the Redmons of LaRue, Nelson, Hardin, and Meade Counties, KY.
