My g.g.g.g.grandfather was Redmond McDonnold, died Fentress Co, TN ca 1834. Redmond lived very near Francis Redmond and others with Redmond surname. Have also found a Redmond McDonald in Bedford Co, PA with a direct connect to a Redmond family there. Can anyone provide information as to where/when these two families might have first connected? The Upper Cumberland McDonnolds were Ulstermen.
