Hi! My GG Grandfather (my mothers' mother's father) John D. Redmond, married in Jackman Maine (6/8/1903)to Rose Mamie (Demo) Redmond (@1870-1/16/61). They had several children...one of whom was my grandmother, Evangeline (or Evelyn) Demo Redmond Watson. Evangeline married Gilbert (his mothers' maiden name was Searles) Watson and they had nine children altogether, most of whom live in Connecticut.
One of their children went to Ireland to touch base with our past and said we are descended from relatives of the MP John E. Redmond Wexford, but as yet that hasn't been proven to me.
I am looking into stories about Mamie Demo Redmond and John Redmond (specifically more about John D. Redmond). I heard their son Adam once made a walking stick for her with cats-eye marbles embedded in it all around, to symbolize this matriarch had eyes everywhere!
