Sorry, I've been reading through these forums for a few hours now, so I'm sort of overwhelmed. The information that I last posted was partily incorrect. The Rhoad side of our family is German, and we can track it back several hunderd years. The family name turns to Ehrhart some years back, and I have papers in front of me that trace it back to 1791. (other papers are boxed up). The other family name that we can trace back that is English is Jennings (we have traced its ancestory to the 5th century). I hope this helps someone some.
