" The family of Ernest Rhode, one of whose daughters was accidently killed a short time ago by the discharge of a gun are again bereaved in a still sadder manner. The eldest daughter Lizzie aged 17 years, who was employed at Milwuakee in the Pabst Bottling Department, was found dead in bed at her boarding place last Monday morning. A post mortem exmination showed the cause of death to have been hemorrhage resulting from internal rupture.
The remains were brought to this city (Tomah,WI Monroe County) and the funeral took place at Zion Evangelical Church on Tuesday afternoon. The remains were interred in the Tomah Cemetery." (Tomah Journal Aug.8,1896)
