Elizabeth (Williams) Custer-Honey-Tribby is my great grandfathers mother. There is some confusion on whether
Joseph Custer may have been m. twice,
or the wife may have been known aka Joseph Caster, m. 30 January 1821 Elizabeth Hayes. Allegany County Marriages - MD.
Have no proof of this, only this item. But I know she had 3 sons, George S. Custer, John P. Custer, Samuel Custer.
2 sons are documented to be her sons, Amos & Judah, [my ancestor], Joseph Custer, II.
Allegany County Courthouse, The Allegany County Courthouse is at 30 Washington Street, Cumberland, MD 21502.
Elizabeth had one daughter, Lucy A. Custer/Custard.
Other than census records and court records, do not show her in any other way.
