I am looking for information on my 3-great-grandmother, Aletha Rhoad/Rhode. I have located her headstone at an old church that is no longer active - Sardis Methodist, Branchville, in Orangeburg County. It shows her name is Mrs. Aletha Berry, wife of Capt. Andrew Berry. Died July 30th, 1880, Aged 79 years and 9 months.
I have heard that her maiden name was Rhoad or Rhode. Do you have any information about her parents or siblings?
