We are searching for ancestors and descendants of a family of Rohde's that immigrated from Prechlau, Germany (modern day Poland) to the Elmira, NY area during the late 1800s. We know that they immigrated in more than one group over a period of several years. There was an internal disagreement and several members of the family intentionally changed their name from Rohde to Rhode prior to 1900.
