My Gr-Gr-Grandfather (John G. Rhode fa:George Rhode mo: Mary White) came over from Germany(Prussia) in 1869 with his wife's family(Henrietta Dobbertin---fa:John Dobbertin mo: Sofia Raddis). While searching the Rochester, NY City directories, I have found another John Rhode at the same time period...1870...seemingly un-related. Could he be related to your line ??? The spelling was always Rhode, though.
