If you go to worldconnect.rootsweb.comput in James Rhodes ,birth RI 1788 it comes up with the James Rhodes of New Berlin, who married Olive Barhum. Apparently goes back to Col. James Rhodes of RI> But you should check my brief research to see if I am correct.
At world connect, it shows that James Rhodes had 4 boys and 3 girls in the 1840 census, with i older woman, 70-79. Guess you would have to take a look, but also check out google book search, I will see what my Rhodes family in America has to say.
