George Rhodes - Adeline Griffith Ohio/Wesst Virginia

I'm looking for confirmation of and additional information that I have for George and Adeline(Adelade), both descendants and ancestors. George was born in New York, but lived much of his adult life Ohio/West Virginia. The dates that I have for him are 1826-1912. Adeline was the second of his three wives. Their son John S.(1865-1943) was my great-grandfather.

Anything is a help.

Also, I'm looking into DAR membership for my daughter and grand-daughter. Has anyone done this? Is it difficult to get appropriate documentation?
