Need help getting information on the Rhodes family that may have started out in WVA or VA and somehow did make their way to Philadelphia PA.
Charles Gar Rhodes (my Great Grandpa) died somewhere around/between 1914 to 1919. He married Emma Jane Henson who later married a man with the last name Martin.
Vernon Lee Franklin Rhodes (who also went by Vernon Cecil, Cecil Vernon) was born Sept 14, 1909 and died in Nov 1974 (heart attack I believe). He was married prior to my grandma to a ballet dancer who died of cancer (name unknown). My grandma was Rose Ann Falcone (dob 11-12-1911 dod 4 15, 2001) and she married grandpa on Sept 19, 1935.
They had two Children: Donna Jean (Rhodes) Gray and my dad, Vernon Joseph Rhodes (3-14-1945).
Any leads or information would be useful. I know that granpa had relatives but only know one name (Steve Rhodes,nephew) who supposedly moved to Illinois. There was a rumor years ago that we have american indian in us, that Charles was a miner, and that Emma's second husband was wealthy but all are just rumors at this point.
