Joseph Rhodes was born probably in the 1820s in North Carolina. He married Elizabeth Mikels, born 1826 in Knoxville, TN. They had 2 children that I know of (likely more). The 2 I know of were Louisa Jane Rhodes Pruitt (1858-1936) and Joseph Rhodes, Jr. Joseph Rhodes was married, but his wife probably died young. They had one child, a son, Gale. Gale married in his 50s and never had any children. Joseph Jr., Louis Jane Rhodes Pruitt, and Gale Rhodes all lived in Wayne County, Missouri. I would guess Gale Rhodes was born in the 1890s, but that's just a guess.
I know I haven't given much to work on. Also, Joseph Rhodes Sr. was in the Civil War. I can't find record of him in Missouri Civil War records, so he may have been in the Civil in North Carolina. My Grandpa said that Joseph Rhodes Jr. probably died in the 50s, but I can't find him in Missouri death records search between 1910-1957. So, Joseph Rhodes Jr. probably was born in the 1860s and died in the 1950s.
I know it's not much to go on, but it's all I got. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
