My name is Arethia Cline Hatfield, my father was James Cline...his mother was Belle Elizabeth Riggs Cline born Sept 21, 1915 and she passed away Mar.14,1988...her father was John Henry Riggs who was a photographer according to the marriage license to Tennessee Scarberry on Dec. 8, 1914 at Williamson, WV Mingo Co. It lists his age as 31 and hers as 17...His place of birth was Giles Co. Virginia and his parents are listed as Sam and Lizzie Riggs...My dad was told his entire life that his grandparents were not married and that John Henry Riggs had left when he found out my great grandmother was having a baby...I have researched and found the marriage license and I know NOTHING about my Riggs genealogy...please help
