Dorothy 'Dot' Louise Riggs Moody, 73, of Fall Branch,
Washington Co TN, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2009.
She was born December 8, 1935 and had lived in Fall Branch
for most of her life. Dot worked for Hamlett-Dobson
Funeral Homes in Fall Branch for many years. She was of
the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Moody;
parents, Clyde and Opal Riggs; brothers, Walter Riggs and
wife, Lee, and Larry Riggs.
Surviving are her brother, Roy Riggs and wife, Lorraine,
Decatur, IL; sister, Nancy Waller and husband, Dean,
Kingsport, TN; nephews, Mike and Karen Riggs, Decatur, IL,
Gary Riggs and wife, Jill, Tremont, IL, Rick Waller and
wife, Regina, Bluff City, TN, and David Waller and wife,
Tina, Kingsport, TN, and their families.
The family will receive friends any time at the home of
her sister, Nancy Waller, Kingsport, TN.
Friends may call at the funeral home between 9:30 a.m. and
10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, June 23, 2009.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday,
June 23, 2009, at Fall Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with
the Rev. Victor Wallace officiating.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be
given to the Fall Branch Volunteer Fire Department (in the
name of Tom and Dot Moody), 106 Ruritan Road, Fall Branch,
TN 37656.
