There is a John RINE listed as head of household on the 1840 Delware Indiana census. He and his wife and 7 children ages 0 to 18 were born in VA.
I am certain that he is my gr gr grandfather John Ryan born in Monongalia VA/WVA in 1801 who married Nancy Lewellen.
They were married in Sept. 1822 in Monongalia Co VA. Nancy was a daughter of Samuel Lewellen and Elizabeth Goff/Gough.
Nancy died about 1846. Couldn't find John Rine/Ryan on the 1850 cemsis, But three of the children are listed. My gr grandmother Catherine is age 3 listed in the houehold of her mother's brother Rawley Lewellen. A brother Felix is age 12 living with an Elijah Goff. An Elizabeth Ryan is listed in the household of Phillip Lewellen who was a half brother of Samuel Lewellen her grandfather.
We are trying to find the other siblings of my gr gr grandmother Catherine "Katie" Ryan. All information appreciated.
