Johannes Martin Reinau brought his family to York Co. Pa in 1738 from Blankenloch Gr. Hiis descendants have the following last names-RHEIN, REIN, RHINE, RHYNE, RINE and RYAN.
Martin Reinau was on ship as REIN but buried as Reinau.Son MartinJr.was married as RHEIN. Son Jacob was married as REIN. Grandson Thomas was listed RYAN.
Martin Rhein`s widow came to N.C. as Rine.
In the early generations, the name was spelled however the writer thought it sounded.
