I was looking for a Henry Rhodes in 1870 census and came across one in Kosciosko County,IN. It listed him as 63, born in PA, Clay Township. Microfilm Roll 332, page 288. There were quite a few Rhodes' in that county, including a Julia Rhodes, 85, Clay Township, Roll 332, page 289. His mother? By the way, he was not my Henry Rhodes, and what I have come across on census records, obituaries, and land deeds is that the name can be spelled Rhodes, Rhoades, Roads, Rhoads, Rodes.
