ORLANDO F. HINDS was born in Jennings County, Indiana, October 3l, l847, and died in Glencoe, Oklahoma, July l6, l925, aged 77 years, 8 months and l8 days.
He was united in marriage to CATHERINE SMALLWOOD at Leon, Iowa, October l4, l875. To this union were born five children, all of whom are living: OTHO of Del Rose, Colorado; ETHEL MORRISEY, of Fresno, Calif.; ARTHUR, of Denver, Colorado; MADGE ROADS, of Morrison, Oklahoma, and CORA WEIGHTMAN, of Bessway, Texas.
MR. HINDS, with his family, left Iowa to spend a few years in Kansas and New Mexico before coming to Glencoe in l9ll, where he had lived until death.
MR. HINDS has been a good citizen, one who stood for the best interests and high standards wherever he has lived. For about 25 years he had been a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He was a kind husband, a faithful father and true friend. He leaves one sister, his wife and children and grandchildren, with other relatives and many friends, who feel the loss.
