Looking for information on the MARY RODES/RHODES/ROADS/Etc. that had a son, THOMAS CLARENCE MYERS on 5 Sept 1886, probably in WV. Thomas’ death cert. listed his mother’s maiden name as RODES, his father, unknown,
Possibly a Thomas Myers? In 1900, Tomas was living with 2 sisters named PICKERING, who apparently raised him, in Rockingham Cty. VA. According to one of Tom’s daughters, they visited Mary sometime about 1920 in Romney, WV “Mary had remarried and Tom had half sisters and brothers”. I don’t have a clue about what her name was then. Does anyone that’s looking for RODES/RHODES/Etc have anybody that fits that description, that was in Romney WV in abt.1920.? I have one document that I’m not too sure about, that says that Thomas was born in Greenbrier, WV.
