Charles Rode, Upstate NY 1920-1960

I am looking for any information on my Great Grandfather Charles Rode. He would have lived in the Roscoe/Downsville area of NY somewhere between 1920 and 1961 and was born aproximately 1902. The only information I have is that he immigrated from Europe and changed his surname to Rode upon arrival. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
