I see two other postings by you, only one (W VA) with any genea info in it. Thanks for responding.

In 1766 a William Sladdon, for 50 pounds and a negro girl Pegg, came under the maintenance of a John Rodes Jr, who later (1787) paid William's taxes. The document, in Albemarle co VA, was witnessed by John Slatin. This lead me to suspect that John was a son or grandson leaving the area. I could see no reason to suspect that this William ever married a Rodes, especially considering this document, and yet another researcher has posted that William married Mary Rodes and then died 1788. This conjecture is entirely MADE UP based on the above document with no other proving docs. The death date is obviously guessed based on 1787 as the last time this man appears to be seen.

I have been trying to expunge this nonsense from the Internet for two years. The poster was W John Slayton of Independence MO, but this same data is posted by "Elrod Slatten," and a Donald Barker. Mr Barker appears to be a real person willing to help distribute unproven material. "Elrod" appears to be a made-up name to allow postings to be made which cannot be expunged since he does not respond to any requests to either provide proof or remove the material.
