The site below, is yet another site I have found that has no administrator, since the Hotmail account for the administrator no longer responds. Numerous requests have been made to remove a spurious line connecting William Slatten and Mary Rodes.
The following message is just one of the many sent:
Your persistence in displaying a marriage between William Slatton and Mary Rodes when there is no indication of this in any records indicates that you are here to mislead researchers. All other Rodes sites that I have contacted have removed this spurious info and links to your site because it is obvious that no one is maintaining this site.
Please remove this family from this site, unless you have PROOF for this marriage.
Earlier there was a response from "James Rodes" that this info came from various sources, all of which have been scrupulously checked and found NOT to contain this information.
Another "poster" of this spurious information is "Elrod Slatton." This connection between Slatten and Rodes is a conjecture that does not bear up under investigation into either of the lines.
