He was born around 1895 tho am not sure exactly where in Ukraine. Believe same place my father was born (a village with too long a name). Grandfather's name was Rudolf and unlike your ancestors he was "stuck" in Russian Army during WWI and served as German interpreter on Austrian front, eventually moving to Turkish theater. May have more news later as I find out more.
