Arnold Romans
Arnold Romans, 72, of Middletown, died Tuesday, March 6, 2001, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Middletown on June 8, 1928, and was a lifelong Middletown resident. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. Mr. Romans was formerly employed as district sales manager at Black-Clawson. He retired with 51 years service. He was a member of Wildwood Golf Course and belonged to American Legion Post 218. He was also a member of the 1946 Middletown High School state basketball championship team. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Arthur, Estil, Willard and Walter Romans. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Phyllis Romans; a daughter, Judy Bond (Richard) of Mansfield, Ohio; a son, Robert Romans (Donna) of Middletown; five grandchildren; and two brothers, Harlan and Ernest Romans, both of Middletown.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Woodside Cemetery Chapel. There will be no visitation. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Romans memory may be made to Abilities First, 4710 Timber Trail Drive, Middletown 45044; or Hope House, 34 S. Main St., Middletown 45042. Joseph Baker-Stevens Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
