Yes--I see him in the Jackson Co, Al census--son of Richard and Allie. I think there is one more Richard-son of Peter Romans-Elizabeth Ann Sublett--then your Richard.
I am from Anthaline Elizabeth Romans-George Wellborn. they left by 1870 for TX and died in Oklahoma. Anthaline was sister to 1st Richard. will do some checking!
Jurdy was short for Jordan, from the Sublett marriage.
I had a great aunt-Tabitha Jordan(Jurdie) Wellborn.
