I just came back from an estate sale at the Zane Gray home in Altadena, Calif. I purchased a Bachelor of Arts degree dated 1879 - Excelsior - New York. Made out to Julius Augustus Roth along with 17 more signatures of various professors and the Board of Trustees president. I know that Zane Grey was married to Lina Elise Roth and she financed Zane Greys first novel with the help of her father's inheritance. Her father was a prominent doctor in New York. Anyway, I'm going to put this up for auction after an appraisal from Butterfields here in Los Angeles. If any of you are related to Lina Elise Roth and would like this certificate, make me an offer. The certificate is in fantastic condition for 129 years. Thank you.
