Rose Rukavina pueblo news papper 7/7/04

Rose Rukavina, age 87, passed away July 5, 2004. Wife of Frank "Fir" Rukavina who passed away May 31, 1991. Mother of JoAnn (George) Evans, and Alice (Phillip B.) Foster, both of Denver, and Frank (Nina) Rukavina Jr., of Lakewood. Grandmother of Michael, Mark Jackson, Michelle Anderson, Phillip B. Foster II, Shaina, Jennifer and Riley Rukavina. Great-grandmother of Brody and Logan Jackson and Alyson and Zack Harr. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by three brothers, Nick, Anthony and Steve Yengich; two sisters, Ann Martich and Steffie "Pep" Ratkovich; and stepbrother, Nick Yengich. Rose was a longtime member of St. Francis Xavier Church parish and managed the parish rectory for over 25 years. In addition, she was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Choir, St. Francis Altar Society, CFU, St. Jacobs Lodge No. 7, Croation Women's Club, and the Pueblo Aerie No. 145 Ladies Auxiliary (FOE). Rose was an active sponsor and fund-raiser for the Novo Kolo Tamburitzas. Rosary, 7 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2004, and funeral Mass, 1 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2004; both services at St. Francis Xavier Church. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or St. Francis Xavier Church in Rose's memory in care of the funeral home office. .....
