Thank you John. I belonged to the Rusk Family Org., also. That unidentified H-14 might be me! Here is an update. YES! Susannah RUSK, widow of Jacob M. SMITH [b. 3 July 1800, VA; d. 8 Sep 1868, Fairfield Co., OH] married 15 March 1870, Fairfield Co., OH, Noah Webster BEERY [b. 14 Sep 1806, Fairfield Co., OH; d. 8 Nov 1888, Platte Co., MO].
Jacob M. SMITH left a will in Fairfield Co., OH which named all of his living children as heirs, but did not indicate where those children were residing. He is buried in Rushville Cemetery, Richland Twp, Fairfield Co, OH.
After Noah BEERY died, Susannah RUSK SMITH BEERY lived in several locations with her daughter, Mary E. SMITH WOLFE [1846-1927], wife of Alexander WOLFE [1849-1930].
Susannah RUSK SMITH BEERY died 18 Oct 1902, Keosauqua, Van Buren Co., Iowa. She is buried there in Purdom Cemetery. You can view a photo of her gravestone [her name is spelled BERRY on the stone]on Find A Grave Memorial# 67084306.
