Sahm Family of the Juegesheim, Hainhausen, Weiskirchen , Hesse-Darmstadt
Posted by: Michael Sahm (ID *****2379) Date: March 25, 2011 at 19:20:08

Heinrich and Magdalena (Lutz/Lotz) Sahm emmigrated from Juegesheim, Hesse-Darmstadt circa 1850 eventually settling in Dubois County, Indiana Heinrich's father, Johann, accompanied them and was still alive when the 1860 census was taken. Heinrich's sisters, Katherina (Sahm) Jakobi (Adam) and Anna Maria (Sahm) Kummet (Michael) Hassfurther (Joseph) also settled in Dubois County. Johann ADAM Sahm, brother lived near Heinrich at the time of the 1860 census. Adam had lived in the Louisville,KY area earlier and believe he moved north (Washington or Davies County) sometime after Heinrich's death in July of 1862.

Do have Sahm genealogy 2 more generations back in Germany.

Be great to correspond with any of Johann's descendants.
Johann married Katherina Meier first, they had three children then Katherina died, about a year later he married her sister, Elisabetha Meier (March 1815), Elisabetha died November 1829.
