I am researching John Brooks b. 1840 in Newberry, SC. His father was Aaron Brooks b. 1800 in Newberry, SC. John's father died in AL cir. 1842-43 and his mother, Elizabeth b. 1813 in Newberry, SC married James Pratt in Dekalb Co. AL. They moved to Pickens Co. AL and lived there the rest of their lives . Both of them are buried in Pickens.John is the only male descendant of this line of Brooks'. Any assistance will be appreciated.
