I have requested probate records from SCDAH, the Clayton Room, Pickens and Oconee Co Probate Court and none of them can find the records from my GGgrandfahter's estate distribution. My GGgrandfather, Burt Moore, died April 1836, in Pickens Dist., SC and his estate was sold May 1836. His lawyer, Bailey Barton, was the executor. I believe there should be a legal document listing the distribution of the estate. Does anyone have any suggestions about where else I could look for these documents?
