I have compiled all Marriage and Death Notices From The Easley Messenger (Early Local Easley Area Newspaper) Issues from October 12,1883 - October 3,1884. These were read from the microfilm roll. These have not been compiled in a book as The Pickens Sentinel, or Peoples Journal have been done. This roll of microfilm has been damaged and this is the only copy our library has. I felt a need to transcribe these records as a guide to help other researchers. Death Notices generally include name, age date of death, location of death and cause, sometimes burial info. Marriage Notices generally include names of both parties involved date of wedding, and place of residence and the officiating minister. As with any transcribing effort there is always a chance a listing may have been overlooked not intentional, and in some instances the condition of the original paper prior to filming may effect this effort. Lastly inquire only if you think an event may have occurred during this time frame As I don't have prior years or later years. Notify Administrator about this message?
