Hi Jaunice. The only thing I could find at SC Archives was this: Date: 1812/07/20 Description: DAVIS, THOMAS, PLAT FOR 44 ACRES IN PENDLETON DISTRICT, SURVEYED BY JOSEPH WHITNER. Names Indexed: DAVIS, THOMAS/WHITNER, JOSEPH/MCELRAY, ARCHIBALD/STARNES, SLATER/DAVIS, NATHANIEL/BARNETT, WILLIAM/ Locations: PENDLETON DISTRICT/ Type: PLAT/ It shows him in Pendleton District in 1812. He was probably a nieghbor to Davis. ALSO, thought I would look at who could be POSSIBLE parents by looking at 1790 census. There were none with name spelling of STARNES in SC in 1790. In all of SC there were only four head of household with spelling of STARNS....... Daniel in Charleston Peter in Fairfield Frederick in Pendleton Margarett in Pendleton. These four could be a clue for more research! Happy Hunting...Deb in SC Notify Administrator about this message?
